Reviving the American Dream

This is the place where I am starting my blog about what I am doing as a person and as an artist. I want to share what is on my mind about art and how things have changed since I started painting 30 years ago. I have yet to really live what I would consider to be my American Dream, but I am going about the business of building it daily. Maybe the best place to start is to go back to my roots...the artists that inspired me to start painting in the first place. Number one on that list would be Norman Rockwell. I think that, because of the time in my life that I was inspired by his work, that style and attitude towards art has stayed with me. However, as you will see throughout this blog, I am not bound by that genre or method, but am instead using it as a starting point for an exploration of values and themes that I find appealing and interesting. I hope we will all gain something from this.
